Stricter corona measures were decided in France, which mainly affect the unvaccinated.

You are no longer allowed to board an airplane or long-distance train.

The French government is already talking about the fifth corona wave that the country has to go through.

The 7-day incidence reached 2,944.6 new infections per 100,000 population on Wednesday.

The French Senate has therefore now approved a tightening of the measures:

Unvaccinated people are no longer allowed to board a plane or long-distance train

, as the online portal

bahnblogstelle.net

reports.

However, this measure only applies if the hospitals are busy with corona patients.

Corona measure: France excludes unvaccinated people from long-distance travel

In addition to the ban on aircraft and long-distance trains, unvaccinated people are also excluded from visiting gastronomic or cultural facilities.

However, those who have recovered are not affected.

The rule should only apply if there are

more than 10,000 corona patients in France's clinics

.

Since 24,000 are currently being treated, the measure is in force.

According to a report by the dpa news agency, long-distance travel for unvaccinated people is allowed with a test for "overriding reasons".

An exception should continue to apply to people who have been tested and have already made a vaccination appointment.

The reason for the drastically increasing number of corona cases is the spread of the omicron variant.

It is now dominant in the country.

The validity of the vaccination certificates has already been adjusted: people over the age of 65 whose basic immunization was more than seven months ago must have been boosted since December 15 in order to continue to be considered fully vaccinated.

The same rule goes into effect on January 15 for anyone aged 18 and over.
