Green parliamentary group leader Andreas Schwarz expressly welcomed the initiative of the coalition partner CDU to significantly accelerate the expansion of wind power.
"Wow, there has rarely been such strong support for a green program," said Schwarz on Friday in Stuttgart.
He sees the proposal by CDU faction leader Manuel Hagel as an appeal to their own ranks.
Stuttgart - "I am pleased about this initiative by the CDU, precisely because the CDU has many mayors and district administrators behind it.
Then some wind turbines will turn faster," said Schwarz.

Hagel had set the goal that the period from planning to construction of a wind farm had to be reduced to one year.
He wants to work with the Greens to introduce a law to speed up planning as soon as possible.
So far, the realization of a wind farm takes about six to seven years.
Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) wants to at least halve the period.
The Greens are left guessing as to how this should go within a year.
