The Charitable Maqam Ain al-Zaman in Suwayda launched a campaign to educate the younger generation about the dangers of drugs.
The Executive Director of the "Ayn al-Zaman Maqam" Center, Basil Nasr, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the campaign aims to raise awareness among the young generation about this phenomenon and enable them to play this role among their peers, indicating that it includes the establishment of many targeted dialogue sessions with a focus also on awareness in areas of mental and physical health.
Nasr added that the campaign comes as a culmination of the "An initiative community... a responsible society" initiative, which was launched from the idea of activating the social role of the assembled leaders, after holding dialogue sessions that targeted the villages and towns of Shaqa, Radhima Al Sharqiah, Mardak, Tarba, Rasas, Al Mujaimir, Al Raha, Masad, and the cities of As-Suwayda and Shahba, with the aim of participating in setting mechanisms and procedures It enables the societal actors to take their entrusted role to raise awareness first as an effective weapon in confronting this dangerous phenomenon.
