The strict local building regulations (ÖBV) were the focus of an intensive discussion at the most recent meeting of the Oberhachinger building and works committee.

Oberhaching

- It was based on an application by the WGO, the specified color of the roof surface, currently specified in the regulation as "natural red", in order to expand the colors "anthracite" and "dark grey". "More and more roofs are being equipped with photovoltaics and the modules are anthracite-colored," said Simon Sainer (WGO). Therefore, in his faction's opinion, it would be more appropriate in terms of color to keep the rest of the roof a dark shade as well. Building authority manager Gerhard Jäger pointed out that the ÖBV deliberately chose only one color in order to give the townscape a calm character. In his opinion, expanding the range of colors would create a “patchwork” in the long term. "In addition, the red of the bricks and the color of the collectors do not clash."

Oberhaching has gone its own way since 1970

Mayor Stefan Schelle (CSU) went further and emphasized that Oberhaching went its own way back in the 1970s, when satellite settlements arose in Munich and neighboring communities.

According to him, the ÖBV prevented such developments and Oberhaching is perceived today as a pleasant place to look at.

Sainer emphasized that the WGO does not want to change anything fundamental about the ÖBV, but wants to take account of modern times, in which more and more photovoltaics are being used.

Schelle replied that the municipality definitely supports PV systems, but that they also go well with a natural red roof.

"There are also countless shades of "anthracite" that even go as far as bluish."

topic adjourned

Valentina Eckel (Greens) suggested that the administration retain certain shades of anthracite and that some areas, such as the historic church square, could be completely removed.

Schelle explained that this was not possible and could only be made in the form of exceptions.

“The municipality already allows such exceptions, although it is possible to specify individual colors because this is an exception.” If the color palette in the ÖBV were to be expanded, roofs that do not want to use photovoltaics at all could also be covered in anthracite .

Ultimately, the request for an extension of the color palette of the roofs was withdrawn in this form and the topic was postponed.
