The former jet-set figure Ghislaine Maxwell, convicted in December in New York of sex trafficking of minors for the benefit of her former companion Jeffrey Epstein, will receive her sentence next June, according to court documents made public on Friday January 14. .

After five days of deliberation, the jury found Ghislaine Maxwell guilty on December 29 of five of the six charges against her, including the most serious, that of sex trafficking of underage girls for her former companion, the financier Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Holder of a triple British, French and American nationality, Ghislaine Maxwell had been portrayed at the hearing by the prosecution as a

Some of the victims had testified at the trial.
The accused had pleaded not guilty and spoke only once at trial to reaffirm that she was innocent.
