Borussia Mönchengladbach will start the match against Bayer Leverkusen without winter transfer candidates Matthias Ginter and Denis Zakaria.

On Saturday evening, the former Leverkusen player Christoph Kramer is not yet in the Borussia squad after an infection.

While Zakaria is not injured, Ginter is only on the bench after the commitment of Marvin Friedrich, who is making his starting eleven debut for Gladbach.

Before Christmas, Borussia withdrew the offer to extend the contract for the national player and now signed Friedrich from Union Berlin as his successor in central defense.

Ginter's contract in Gladbach expires in the summer.

Hütter and sports director Max Eberl left open whether Ginter would leave the club in winter.

"He has a contract with us, we don't send any players away," said Eberl.

“Then we will see what happens by January 31st.
