The Governor of Raqqa, Abdul Razzaq Khalifa, confirmed that the government provides full facilities, procedures, and measures at the administrative and security levels for those wishing to make settlements at the committee’s headquarters in the town of al-Sabkha in the countryside of Raqqa liberated from terrorism, pointing out that the (Qasd) militia linked to the American occupation put many obstacles in front of those wishing to join the settlement .

The governor made it clear in a statement to SANA reporter today that during the first day the turnout was heavy and the numbers were estimated at hundreds, while the number of applicants for settlement on the second day decreased significantly as a result of the obstacles and restrictions imposed by the SDF militia on those wishing to reach the settlement committee headquarters in al-Sabkha.

The governor indicated that the town of al-Sabkha was chosen to make settlements in order to facilitate the people of the liberated countryside of Raqqa, as it is located in an intermediate area between the areas of Maadan and Dibsi Afnan.

A number of those whose statuses have been settled from the governorates of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor expressed their satisfaction with this settlement, which enabled them to return to their normal lives.

It is noteworthy that the settlement process for the people of Raqqa governorate began on the 12th of this month in the center of the town of Al-Sabkha in the western countryside, while the settlement continues in the town of Al-Shamitieh in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor governorate.
