Putzbrunn could soon get a new medical center and a new commercial area.

Both would be planned next to the new high school.

Putzbrunn

– On the corner of Münchner and Oedenstockacher Strasse, a new commercial area is to be built next to the future high school. Mayor Edwin Klostermeier (SPD) also announced the construction of a medical center in the building committee: "The people in Putzbrunn are waiting for it and the talks are already well underway."

As early as 2006, the municipal council decided to draw up development plan no. 59 for the expansion of the West industrial estate to the east of Oedenstockacher Strasse. At that time, a local farmer and his brother wanted to build an agricultural machinery business there. For this purpose, a draft plan should be drawn up and the corresponding construction process carried out. It didn't come to that. Due to the location of the new grammar school south of the originally planned commercial area, there have now been some changes. The agricultural machinery company has built a hall elsewhere, and there is also a request from a local doctor who would like to build a medical center there. "The people in Putzbrunn have been waiting for this medical center for a long time, and due to the long history and the adjustment of the area of application, we should make a new decision to set it up,"said Klostermeier.

"For years we have been told that the construction administration is overburdened"

The municipality would like to create the building planning requirements for the expansion of the commercial area over an area of 2.2 hectares.

According to Klostermeier, a safe route to the planned high school and the creation of space for the medical center are also important.

Martina Hechl (GPP) could not understand why another development plan should be drawn up. "For years we have been told that the construction administration is overburdened, and in 2020 we had drawn up a priority list of which development plan would be processed first." If the new development plan for the commercial area were to be decided, either the priority list would have to be revised or the new plan would have to be revised move to the bottom of the list, according to Hechl. Klostermeier tried to calm down and said the new plan would be drawn up in parallel with the others, "this means that no one falls behind, but I don't think we should push the medical center back completely".

Josef Jakob (FWG/FDP) also saw no reason for a quick, new development plan at the intended location.

Together with Hechl, he voted against the drawing up of the "West industrial estate east of Oedenstockacher Straße" plan.

The final decision, however, falls to the municipal council.
