Iranian Minister of Roads and Cities Building Rostam Qasemi confirmed that there is an agreement between his country and Syria to launch a joint bank.
Qassemi, who heads the Iranian side of the Iranian-Syrian Joint Economic Committee, indicated in statements yesterday that were reported by Fars News Agency after the conclusion of a working visit to Syria that good consensus had been reached to work on establishing a joint bank and in light of it reciprocal opening of existing local bank branches in the two countries, in addition to joint free trade zones. .
He pointed out that the issues of increasing the manufacture of Iranian products in Syria, such as tractors and agricultural equipment, as well as the abolition of customs tariffs and the promotion of intra-regional exports, were discussed.
