In the struggle that has erupted over the planting of the JNF in the Negev, there is a dimension of opportunity.
However, from the moment the violent struggle over plantings in the Negev broke out, the State of Israel was placed at a crossroads, which does not allow evasion of the struggle.
At this crossroads is the fundamental question: Is the Israeli leadership still left with the desire to fight for the vision of the Jewish state in striving for its independence, or is it setting aside the dream of generations for Jewish communism in the ancestral homeland, in exchange for a few more days of silence?

Yosef Weitz, who was one of the heads of the Jewish National Fund and was the first director of the Israel Land Authority, unreservedly described the Zionist struggle.
"A struggle for the redemption of the land, literally simple - redemption from strangers; a struggle for the redemption of the land from the shackles of its desolation, a struggle for the conquest of the land by its settlement, and a struggle for rooting in the land."
In recent decades this talk has been blocked.
New post-Zionist trends have eroded everything that was obvious to the Zionist enterprise.
With the penetration of the values of radical liberalism and human rights, the Zionist vision was forced to go under the radar.
Meanwhile, the ideological basis for the continued existence of the JNF's factories was also undermined. For example, Prof. Erez Tzafdia wrote: "The connection between the institutions of the Jewish people - the Jewish Agency and the JNF - and the civil state must be severed."
According to Tzafdia, "these institutions were used by the Zionist Settler Society to advance its control of the area."
From this trend, more than a decade ago, the JNF began to be accused of planting trees for colonial purposes - "to prevent the settlement of Bedouin in the Negev" (Haaretz, Tzafrir Rinat, 08.12.2008). While planting the trees as a national action made Israel the only place where The number of trees has increased in the last hundred years and not small, foreign influences have in recent years managed to turn what was an Israeli source of pride into a controversial issue.
Those in control of the academic world of consciousness have succeeded in diverting the State of Israel from the Zionist path.
In a so-called scientific language, professors such as Sandy Keidar, Oren Yiftachel and Erez Tzafdia have introduced a post-Zionist perspective into Israeli discourse that has reshaped the Israeli public consciousness in relation to what is happening in space.
Their example, for example: "To completely stop the establishment of new settlements for the Jewish population anywhere in the area," was fully accepted by government planning officials. Thus, what was for a hundred years the locomotive of Zionist momentum became increasingly blocked. The process they led led to the decline of an entire cultural being, whose practical expression is that actions that had a central meaning in the Israeli spirit are not only no longer possible, but are also losing their meaning. An entire tract of Zionist values was emptied of topical content, and disappeared from the practical agenda of the State of Israel.
In the foreign conceptual system, the struggle in the Negev is described as a confrontation between the State of Israel and the Bedouin as having a native right.
In this place, the struggle in the Negev is an opportunity for Israeli Zionist society to return to the main point in the re-establishment of first dreams for the redemption of the people and the land.
Let us return to Ben-Gurion's vision, which stated: "Without the heritage of the past, the great heritage of the prophets of Israel, our lives will be uprooted from their source of life ... ).
