On Saturday (January 15) there was a whopping 45 million euros up for grabs in the game 6 out of 49.
But the balls in the lottery machine would not roll.
A replacement was needed.
Munich – 45 million euros were in the jackpot of the lottery draw this Saturday (15.1).
As much as never before.
A record sum.
But with this high sum of all things, something went wrong in the lottery studio.
At 7:25 p.m. sharp, moderator Miriam Hannah stood in front of the lottery drum and opened the drawing.
"Toi, toi, toi," she wished the tipsters.
Nothing happened and there was a clear "stop" from the director.
Lottery drawing on Saturday: The machine doesn't work - of all things with the record sum
"It's time, there's a small technical problem," announced the moderator. The drum didn't turn. A restart did not work, according to the draw manager who had stopped the procedure. And now? The solution is: replacement device. That was already ready in the studio - just without balls. Now the balls were sorted one after the other under close observation. It also takes place in the rehearsals before the broadcasts, explained Miriam Hannah.
Then we could start and this time the balls rolled.
It has been proven: "As you can see, everything is really live," says the moderator.
Did someone lucky hit the record jackpot with the replacement device?
That will only become clear after the evaluation.
The lottery numbers that the winner must have on their ticket this Saturday in the game 6 out of 49 are: 5, 34, 42, 43, 48, 49, super number: 9.
Lottery draw with replacement machine: The last record sum was broken at 42.6 million euros
45 million euros are currently in the jackpot.
A record sum that won't last much longer.
If no one has won the prize this Saturday, it must be distributed.
That's what the rules say.
However, there was already one participant who cracked a similarly high sum.
A single participant from Baden-Wüttemberg once earned a sum of 42.6 million euros.
The highest sum won since lottery drawings began in 1955.
