A dreaded phenomenon, gully erosion leads to the weakening of the soil due to sudden flooding.
It takes earth and stones with it and exposes houses and buildings to subsidence or, worse, collapse.
Cars can also be victims when driving on a weakened track.
By municipal decision, rue du Président-Roosevelt was therefore partially closed and access to the small building was prohibited.
In consultation with the elected officials of this city of 52,000 inhabitants, one person had to be relocated in the evening.
An order of imminent danger could be issued.
"For the moment, it has not yet been decided," says one at the town hall of Sartrouville.
We will have to look closely in the next few days.
