The vaccination center has now opened for the second time.

The BRK Dachau set up the facility in the Rotkreuzhaus a year ago with numerous helpers and medical staff.

The stationary facility closed in September because the focus was on mobile vaccination teams and “on-site vaccination offers”.

"It's the fastest way out of the pandemic," emphasized BRK district chairman Bernhard Seidenath when he visited the vaccination center with District Administrator Stefan Löwl and BRK district manager Paul Polyfka when it reopened. Now the head of the center, Max Frisch, and his deputy, Jessica Seifert, are available to vaccinate around 56 employees from Monday to Friday, not counting doctors. "We had to recruit new staff," said Frisch. After the closure in September, most had looked for a new job. The vaccination offer in the vaccination center is diverse. First, second and booster vaccinations are carried out. Children and young people are also vaccinated there.

From April onwards, citizens can protect themselves against Omikron with a fourth vaccination.

"It's a day of joy that we're helping out in the hospital again," stressed Seidenath.

It is hoped that this facility will also counteract the decline in the willingness to vaccinate. In the Dachau district, around 75 percent of the residents have now been vaccinated.

The vaccination center at Rotkreuzplatz is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

From Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. mobile teams are also on the road for vaccination.
