As expected, the incidence has been skyrocketing for the past week due to the spread of the new omicron virus variant.

The Dachau district office expects a further significant increase in the next few days.

At 395, the incidence calculated for unvaccinated people is still well above the total value - for vaccinated people there is an incidence of 240.

In the group of children and adolescents up to and including 17 years of age, the incidence of 390 is also higher than the total value.

In the case of fellow citizens over 60 years of age, the incidence is 110 due to a high vaccination rate. District Administrator Stefan Löwl continues to appeal for vaccination offers to be taken up as early as possible.

In the coming weeks, there are still numerous vaccination appointments in vaccination centers, with mobile vaccination teams and in vaccinating medical practices - open.

Vaccination dates for children

On Tuesday, January 18, the BRK is again offering a special vaccination campaign for children at the Dachau vaccination center.

Appointments are made via BayIMCO (www.impfzentren.bayern) Even if the demand for (refresher) vaccinations has dropped significantly in recent days, the resident doctors are organizing special vaccination campaigns together with various communities.

On Saturday, January 15, vaccinations are possible for everyone in Hebertshausen, regardless of where they live;

Children's vaccinations are also offered there.

So far, almost 1,500 children aged five to eleven have received a corona vaccination in the Dachau district;

this corresponds to an age-specific vaccination rate of over 13 percent.

Corona patients at the Helios Amper Clinic

The number of corona patients in the Helios-Amper-Klinikum Dachau is high, but still stable.

Eleven patients aged 35 to 88 with a proven COVID-19 infection are currently being treated on the normal ward, five have no vaccination protection.

Four corona patients have been vaccinated - mostly with the vaccine from the manufacturer BioNTech - but the second vaccination was in all cases more than six months ago.

Another eight patients between the ages of 41 and 77 are currently in intensive care.

Two of these patients have a vaccination that is also more than six months old - the other six patients have no corona vaccination.

Four people have died as a result of corona disease.

The deceased are all over 70 years old.
