Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz this evening (Sunday) asked the professionals to promote the shortening of the isolation to only five days for the verified and those who come in contact with them.
Senior ministry officials sought to gather more data, particularly from the United States, where they have already done so.
A final decision is expected in the coming days.
Earlier today, the director general of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Nachman Ash, said during a visit to Beilinson Hospital that the ministry is examining the possibility of shortening the duration of isolation for verified employees in medical institutions and other vital positions.

Horowitz's request comes in the shadow of much criticism that is heard, among other things, about the issue of isolation in the education system.
