The Assistant Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Ibrahim Azizi, stressed the need to take strategic decisions in the field of cooperation with Syria.
In a press statement today, reported by Fars Agency, Azizi pointed to the start of a new phase in economic relations between Iran and Syria, and said, "Syria enjoys stability and calm today. The two countries have many common denominators, especially their people's confrontation with terrorist and takfiri groups."
He stressed the need to work for the utilization of joint energies to meet the needs of both countries and to take advantage of the common economic opportunities available in them.
