The story of the Mexican mannequin "La Pasqualita" has attracted a lot of attention on the net in recent weeks, after the tic-tac-toe user @creeptime, who has more than 800,000 followers, uploaded a video about the creepy legend about her.

92 years since the mannequin was placed in a wedding dress boutique in Chihuahua, Mexico, many still believe that it is not an ordinary doll - but the mummified body of a real bride, the daughter of the shop owner, Pasquale Asperza.

So is this a mannequin created with incredible attention to detail or a mummified body that has been beautifully preserved all these years?

Before we present to you the opinion of the experts, let us tell you a little about the mannequin that has become an attraction for visitors from all over the world.

On March 25, 1930, La Pasqualita first appeared in the La Poplar wedding dress salon.

After a while, customers recognized that the doll's hands looked disturbingly real, with wrinkles, veins and a strange color of "skin".

In addition, her flowing hair, asymmetrical face and clear eyes made passers-by feel uncomfortable around her.

Many later identified a surprising resemblance between the mannequin and the daughter of the boutique owner, Pasquale Asperza, who died on her wedding day from a black widow spider bite.

Many believe that if the bride embalmed her daughter's body and placed it in the shop window so that she could be the bride she did not get to be in her life.

Although the family has repeatedly denied the story, it has not prevented the urban legend from expanding and some also claim that at night the doll is resurrected and during the day its eyes follow the passers-by on the street.

There are also people who swear they have seen her move and change poses.

Expert opinion

So what do the experts say: Is this a real bridal corpse or a flawlessly created showpiece?

There are compelling arguments for both sides of the debate.

Most experts agree that "La Pasqualita" is not her body.

For her body to remain in such a pristine condition, the environment must be perfect, the embalming must be flawless - and you will have to go through constant maintenance work, something that is not possible in a bridal showcase in such a small and warm town.

Even if all these conditions could be achieved (which is a big "mother"), it is unlikely that for 90 years the body will be preserved in this way.

Despite this information, there are many who still believe that it is a mummified body - which is not surprising.

Her hands are incredibly realistic and because of them even some experts are 100% unsure that she is not a body.

Some also claim that the color of the hands has changed over time and the nails have dried out and been pulled back similar to what happens in the hands of a rotting body.
