Russia's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, affirmed that his country never planned to keep its peacekeeping forces in Kazakhstan.
"Some people are getting such wrong guesses after listening a lot to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki or Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland," TASS quoted Polyansky as saying in a tweet on Twitter in response to allegations against Moscow in this regard. As for those who did not, they will know that we have fulfilled what we promised from the beginning with our partners in the Collective Security Treaty Organization and we never intended to stay in Kazakhstan.”
In this context, the Russian Defense Ministry announced in a statement today that 19 military transport planes belonging to the Russian Air Force left Al Mata today, carrying Russian peacekeeping forces.
Units from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan participated in the peacekeeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in providing assistance to the Kazakh forces after the outbreak of widespread violence and riots in the country, and recently began to withdraw after the return of security and stability to the country.
