The Duke of York wrote to the commanders of the units in which he served and apologized for the inconvenience caused as a result of the sexual assault affair in which he became entangled • "I am innocent," the prince insisted

Queen Elizabeth's decision to deprive Prince Andrew of his military titles and prevent him from using His Majesty's title when he represents her was met with tears in the eyes of her son, the Daily Mirror reported on Sunday.

As you may recall, the Queen's dramatic move came on Thursday following a U.S. court decision not to dismiss the lawsuit against the U.S. prince by Virginia Joffre, who claims he systematically sexually assaulted her along with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein when she was a minor.

According to the "Mirror", the prince, also known as "Duke of York", does not know his soul out of grief in light of the Queen's decision, which is apparently intended to prevent embarrassment from the royal house if the lawsuit ends in failure for Andrew.

In the decision she also clarified that there will be no activity on the part of the royal house for him on the legal side, and he will protect himself as an individual, for all that this implies at the financial level.

A senior British military official told the paper that "the prince had tears when he was informed of the decision, although he estimated that the queen would make that decision.

Another source noted that Her Majesty's army felt "relieved" in the face of the Queen's decision, which came after military officials asked her to consider it.

In their view, every day that passed without being stripped of his military duties was a "tremendous embarrassment."

Andrew intends to draft letters of apology to all the units to which he was entrusted by virtue of his representative position until his titles were revoked and to seek his pardon.

"He claims to be innocent but wants to apologize for the hardships caused by what happened," said a source close to him.
