The Director of Agriculture, Eng. Asaad Toukan, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the project was implemented in cooperation with first aid organizations and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, and it is one of the vital projects that come within the framework of work to replant all cultivable areas and irrigate the areas that were damaged during the previous years as a result of terrorism, which contributes to Return it to the agricultural process.

Toukan indicated that the project irrigates 4,000 dunums of agricultural land in the Hatla area and contributes to restoring life to large areas of lands that have been out of service for years as a result of the discontinuation of agricultural irrigation groups.

For his part, the coordinator of water management in the Red Crescent branch in Deir ez-Zor, Engineer Muhammad Diab Al-Ali, indicated that the works that were carried out included the installation of three new agricultural groups and the maintenance of three other groups with a capacity of 750 cubic meters per hour for each of them, with the provision of a generating group with a capacity of 200 kV in addition to To maintenance of intake and thrust pipes.

A number of farmers praised the efforts made to re-cycle production in the agricultural sector in Deir ez-Zor, which contributes to supporting the national economy and securing a source of income for the people returning to their villages and fields.
