A 34-year-old Russian citizen will not be charged with the murder of his friend, a pedophile who sexually assaulted and raped his eight-year-old daughter, after the country's authorities decided to drop the murder charges and turned them into a serious charge.
According to Russian media reports, the father watched the documentation of his co-worker, Oleg Sviridov, sexually assaulted the girl who begged him to leave her alone.
The father found the sickening record on Sviridov's cell phone, after Hela filmed the atrocities.
The angry father reportedly took his friend to a secluded forest, forced him to dig a pit to serve as his grave and then stabbed him to death.
According to the report, the father offered Sviridov the possibility of handing himself over to the authorities and thanking him for his actions before killing him, since he refused, he pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times in the chest.
As mentioned, the judicial authorities in Russia have ordered the removal of the electronic handcuff from the father's leg, after he was released last month under house arrest.
The father, who works at a missile engine factory, told local media that he was "very pleased" with the decision and that he would continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement in the case.
The case provoked a huge wave of support in Russia and around the world for the father and even public figures and celebrities in the country expressed themselves in a way that praised or showed understanding towards the man’s actions.
A petition filed with the Russian Ministry of Justice and signed by 2,500 Russian citizens called for removing the charges against the father and thanking him for "saving more children from dangerous sexual assault."
