The Russian "Gamalia" Center for Microbiology announced the start of a study for the possibility of manufacturing a vaccine against several strains of the emerging corona virus.
And the “Russia Today” website quoted the center’s deputy director, Denis Logunov, as saying in a statement today, “The option of creating a vaccine such as Sputnik with multiple antigens is being considered and discussed, through which Delta and Omicron strains will be targeted, or even more complex strains.”
In August 2020, the Russian Ministry of Health registered the (Sputnik V) vaccine, which was developed by the “Gamalia” Center, to become the first registered vaccine against the Corona virus in the world, and later produced the Sputnik Lite vaccine with a single dose.
