The demands of the Fadloun 1 industrialists focused on the necessity of completing the sewage project, increasing the number of gates and telephone lines in the area, and installing an electrical transmission center due to the increase in the number of facilities belonging to it, which amounted to about 140.

In their meeting with the Governor of Damascus Countryside, Eng. Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran, during a tour he took to see the reality of work in the area, the industrialists called for the expansion of streets, maintenance of potholes, a review of industrial electricity prices, the provision of fuel oil, the improvement of hygiene, and the removal of garbage on time.

The industrialist, Fawaz Al-Osta Halabi, a member of the Reconstruction Committee in the Cities and Industrial Zones, indicated in a statement to the representative of SANA that the industrial facilities in the “Fadhloun 1” area have been almost completely destroyed, and since 2018, work has begun to rehabilitate the infrastructure and provide it with the services necessary to launch the production process and attract more manpower. He stressed that the governorate is working in coordination with industrialists to complete the deficiencies, whether they are in the electricity, sanitation or hygiene sectors.

For his part, Director of Communications in Rural Damascus, Eng. Hussein Oweiti, explained that the area is served by a telephone cable from the Sabinah phone center, and there are currently approximately 600 numbers, and during the first quarter of this year, an expansion will be made in some boxes that were vandalized due to terrorism, explaining that the area includes 120 gates and within a month Last December, 50 gates were allocated, and the region will be blessed with new gates during the coming period to include all industrialists.

Director of Damascus Countryside Electricity, Bassam Al-Masry, explained that the Rural Electricity Company provided electricity to industrialists in Fadloun 1 around the clock through the Mahayni outlet at Hosh Plus station, which feeds all industrialists without any interruption except in emergency cases.

Regarding the new pricing, Al-Masry stated that the region is charged with the full exempt bracket, meaning the higher bracket, since the current is always available, pointing out that three electrical transformers have been installed in the region so far, and there is a study to know the electricity needs of industrialists, on the basis of which a new electrical conversion center can be installed if needed .

In a press statement, the Governor of Damascus Countryside explained that his tour comes to identify the most important requirements of industrialists and to address the obstacles and difficulties facing their work, pointing out that the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment has provided about two billion pounds to rehabilitate the infrastructure in the region, which contributes to the return of all industrialists to their facilities, whose number so far has reached about 138 out of approximately 270 industrialists, and work is underway to rehabilitate other facilities.

The governor indicated that a meeting of the Fadloun 1 and 2 industrialists will be held after two weeks to form a joint committee for the two regions to increase the support provided to them and to establish a single window to relieve the industrialists' hardship.

The Fadloun 1 and 2 region includes about 2,500 facilities, of which about 40 percent have returned to production.
