The second day of the Children’s Theater Festival held a variety of activities, shows and segments in the governorates of Daraa and Homs, with the aim of promoting theater culture among youngsters and encouraging them to apply positive behaviors in an interesting and attractive narrative style.

The theatrical performance, which was presented on the stage of the House of Culture in Daraa, entitled “The Enchanted Forest”, according to its author and director, artist Mahmoud Awad, came within this context, by inviting parents and young people to learn, educate and confront ignorance.

In a statement to SANA, Awad stressed that the work is a message to support children psychologically and culturally, build a conscious generation, and avoid hitting or harassing them.

Actor Al-Wateen Awad mentioned in a similar statement that the work was launched during the mid-term holiday to be an energizing break for young people to motivate them to review their lessons, pointing out that the work contains an awareness message for children and parents to direct their children towards knowledge and knowledge.

Actor Sami Al-Masry stated that he played in the work the role of a father who beats and abuses his son, forcing him to flee to the forest, where a witch meets him and tries to persuade him to leave school, but in the end he returns with his father to the house and continues his studies after the father pledged not to hit or insult him.

A number of attendees noted the work because it provides an educational and awareness message that encourages science to build a promising future and keeps it away from wrong ideas that lead to ignorance and backwardness.

In Homs, the Directorate of Culture hosted, as part of the festival’s activities, an interactive workshop that included introducing the elements of the theatrical scene and practical scenes on the text of “An Adventure in the City of the Future” by the Syrian writer Joanne Jean.

The workshop, which was held as part of the “We chose for you” initiative, included, according to director Samer Ibrahim, who supervised it, transforming difficult and complex scientific theatrical information into games and the participation of the child in them.

The "Happy Magic" band presented a variety of entertainment programs, including children's games, songs for children, and performances and singing.

In a statement to SANA, the Director of Homs Culture, Hassan al-Labad, confirmed that the Children's Theater Festival is an opportunity for entertainment, entertainment and the acquisition of various skills that contribute to building the child's personality and showing his talents.

Rasha Muhammad, from the Children's Department of the Directorate of Culture, drew attention to the great participation of children and adolescents in various activities, especially those directed to the early childhood segment, and installation, coloring and drawing games.

Sayyar’s team had a different participation, which aimed, according to Lilas Damashli, the team’s coordinator in Homs, to integrate children who lacked family care with the community, where about 20 children and adolescents were integrated with the rest of the children and their interaction was positive and good with the various sections.
