According to the case, there was a public demonstration on June 16, 2019.

After the parade, many people went to Central Pier 7 to take a boat to Tsim Sha Tsui. The defendant and his girlfriend were also in the middle of the process. While they were waiting in line, the deceased Zhou Zhenhe, who was holding a beer, tried to cut the line behind the defendant. Some people in the queue were dissatisfied and quarreled with Zhou.

Upon seeing this, the defendant turned around and joined the scolding battle. After that, the defendant turned around and continued to line up, but Zhou kicked the defendant's ass from behind.

Defendant says he was kicked and pushed back for weeks

The defendant was arrested on the 26th of the same month. He warned and said, "He (Zhou) was on the point and was noisy with a few women. I didn't even see him chatting with him. He kicked me, so I pushed him away." The video of the meeting revealed that after participating in the parade on the day of the incident, at 9:30 p.m., he and his girlfriend lined up at the Central Pier to cross the sea by boat.

He pointed out that Zhou was holding a can of wine at the time, and the defendant believed that Zhou was drunk.

The police did not ask him to stay

He pointed to Zhou and the woman's quarrel and said, "Excuse me, my mother." He pushed the woman away with his hands.

The defendant therefore joined the scolding battle. During the period, he scolded Zhou with rude words, and Zhou responded, "Don't wash your mother." He also described Zhou's fierce expression after kicking him. Before he spoke, he pushed Zhou with both hands. Zhou first hit a woman and then fell to the ground with the woman.

The defendant also said that Zhou lost consciousness after a fall. At that time, someone who knew first aid checked Zhou's condition, and then Zhou resumed breathing.

After the police arrived, he did not ask him to stay, so he left by boat with his girlfriend.
