Chinese President Xi Jinping today called on the countries of the world to unite and cooperate in facing global challenges and crises.

In his speech today at the World Economic Forum in Davos, which is being held virtually for the second year in a row, President Ping said that cooperation and solidarity among the countries of the world allows finding common ground and achieving beneficial results for all by setting aside differences, warning of the catastrophic consequences of any confrontation between major powers.

According to Xinhua, the Chinese president considered that different countries and civilizations can thrive together on the basis of respecting each other, calling on the world to move forward by following the logic of historical progress and development and by riding the wave of development in the current era.

The Chinese president considered that there are no opposite currents that can stop the trend of economic globalization, stressing the need to find answers to the main and urgent questions related to how to defeat the Corona virus pandemic and build a post-pandemic world because these major issues are of common concern among the peoples of the world.

President Ping expressed his full confidence in the future of the Chinese economy, pointing out that China's development gains will benefit all the people, and that his country should not develop the economy at the expense of resource depletion and environmental degradation, and the country should not sacrifice growth to protect the environment.
