Dietramszell/Otterfing – As reported by the Geretsried Police Inspectorate, there was a physical altercation in an inn in the Dietramszell community area last Saturday (January 15).

According to the police, the situation between a 53-year-old Otterfinger and his 27-year-old son escalated.

The son had obviously invited a few friends to a meeting in an inn.

A fight broke out between father and son around 9:30 p.m.

The father injured his son with a blow.

"He then fled the area in his vehicle," reports Chief Inspector Christopher Seebauer.

On the way to Otterfing, the 53-year-old encountered a uniformed police patrol.

This had become aware of the vehicle regardless of the incident and stopped it for a traffic control.

"In order to avoid this, the Otterfinger accelerated his car and initially fled in an unknown direction," explains Seebauer.

Subsequently, several police patrols from Holzkirchen, Geretsried and the Holzkirchen motorway police were involved in the search.

Around 10:10 p.m., a patrol crew from the Holzkirchen police managed to track down the fugitive.

"The 53-year-old was placed in front of his home address in Otterfing."

"Very uncooperative"

As part of the check, a significant smell of alcohol on Otterfinger's breath was also detected.

"He acted very uncooperatively towards the officers who intervened," emphasizes the police chief.

A voluntary breath alcohol test finally showed a value of around one per thousand.

"Due to the behavior shown and the previous actions, the public prosecutor's office ordered the confiscation of the driver's license and the carrying out of a blood test," reports Seebauer.

This was carried out at the Holzkirchen police station by an informed doctor.

The man was then released.

"Now the driver can expect criminal proceedings for drunk driving and bodily harm."
