Today, the Russian Coordination Center distributed 5 tons of humanitarian aid, which included a set of food baskets, clothes and gifts for children to the displaced residing in the population center located in the town of Hasya in the Homs countryside.
The representative of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim, Vladimir Marozev, stated that in coordination with the governorate of Homs and the municipality of Hasya, aid of up to 5 tons was provided, including sunflower oil, sugar, flour and rice, in addition to clothes and gifts for children.
In turn, the Mayor of Hassya, Eng. Ahmed Idris, indicated that, during the past years, Hissiya received many displaced people from different areas of Homs, where the community center currently includes 95 rooms in which 60 displaced families live, providing them with all the necessary services such as water, electricity and others, in addition to humanitarian and social services from Before humanitarian organizations and charities.
Muhammad al-Hassan and Muhammad al-Bustan, who were displaced years ago from Palmyra as a result of terrorism, expressed their appreciation for Russia’s standing and support for the Syrian people in the fight against terrorism, while Hala al-Hassan, who was displaced from al-Qusayr, praised the good service situation in the center and the Russian aid that secured them many of their needs.
In a related context, 5 tons of flour was delivered to Umm al-Zinar Church in Old Homs, provided by the Russian Orthodox Church.
Father Luka Awad, Director General of the Umm al-Zinar Center for Relief and Development in the Diocese of Homs, Hama, Tartous and its Dependencies, pointed out the Syriac Orthodox to the great role of the Russian people and the Russian government in supporting the steadfastness of the Syrian people, their fight against terrorism and their defeat of their lands, noting the close relations between the Syriac Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church.
