The representative of the European Union in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Sven Kuhn von Burgsdorff, confirmed that the Israeli occupation's demolition and eviction of Palestinian homes is illegal.
“The evictions and demolitions are illegal under international law and impede a settlement of the Palestinian issue,” Burgsdorff said today, during his visit to the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, with representatives of a number of EU member states, during the occupation authorities’ eviction of a Palestinian family from their home.
This morning, a large number of the occupation forces stormed the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and raided the house of a Palestinian family of 12 people, including 5 children, after besieging it from all sides and forcing them to evacuate it.
