Wind farm projects at sea are causing as much concern among fishermen, whether Norman or Breton, as among certain researchers.
In less than a week, two letters alerting to the dangers posed by two wind farms, in Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor) and Tréport (Seine-Maritime) were thus sent to the executive.
They present worrying data on the halieutic resource, and more generally on the biodiversity of the oceans, indicating that these wind farms would ultimately threaten the future of fishing in these two areas.

The first letter, written by the president of the Departmental Committee for Maritime Fisheries of Côtes-d'Armor (CDPMEM), Alain Coudray, was sent on January 6 to the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron. The second, dated January 8, was sent to the Minister of the Sea, Annick Girardin, by the association of researchers “L’Atelier Anonymus”, taken over by the Cooperative of associated artisanal fishermen from Tréport.
