In the context of encouraging the artistic movement for its importance and its role in human life, the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the plastic artist Badi' Jahjah, launched a competition (Colors and Ideas) for the fifth year in a row, entitled (Arts elevate people).

Submission of fees to participate in the competition starts from the beginning of next February until the first of April of this year.

The competition, which left the participating students the freedom to choose the appropriate technique from colors and other materials to formulate their paintings, was divided into three age groups, the first for the students of the first cycle, the subject required for painting, My relationship with nature, and the size of the painting is 21 x 30 cm.

And the second category for students of the second cycle of basic education and the required subject is my relationship with heritage and the size of the board is 30 times 42 cm, cardboard.

As for the third category, it was allocated to secondary school students and its subject is a portrait drawing that expresses a specific expressive state of sadness, smile, joy or anger in the way it deems appropriate, based on the style of an international art school (realistic, expressive, impressionistic, experimental or surreal) and the size of the painting is 35 times 50 cm. on cartons.

The competition stipulated that behind the participating plaque, a sentence drawn from local or international literature should be written, bearing wisdom appropriate for each age stage.

The jury selects the winning works according to the axes of idea, composition, technology and sentence, where the works will be presented through a virtual exhibition on the page of the Ministry of Education and the Alf Noun page for Arts and Spirituality via Facebook.

As for the financial prizes, they are presented by Alf Noun Hall, where a prize of 15,000 Syrian pounds is allocated to the first cycle, awarded to 200 students, and the second cycle has a prize value of 25,000 Syrian pounds awarded to 50 students, while the secondary category has a prize value of 35,000 Syrian pounds awarded to 50 students, according to a statement by SANA. The plastic artist, Badi' Jahjah, stated that Alf Noun is following up on its project, which it started in 2017, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, by launching the Colors and Ideas competition 2022 through the slogan (Arts.. It raises people) to confirm through it the value of art through its stages of development in influencing the behavior of individuals, societies and civilizations.

Jahjah stressed the need for galleries to be beacons of awareness to develop creative ideas and move to support art through development at its highest levels and not be limited to holding exhibitions and acquiring and selling works, pointing out that (Colors and Ideas) seeks to continue to devote the values ​​of art through a set of axes that help generations create A renaissance in the view of students, students and technical professors of reality.

Jahjah called on all artists to open their ceremonies in the governorates with the aim of building bridges of communication with their surrounding communities and devoting awareness that affirms the behavioral, ethical and aesthetic values ​​of art.
