The PA operates a land settlement process in all of Judea and Samaria-controlled Israeli territory, with the funding and support of the United Nations, the World Bank and European countries. Sheetrit: "An organized and deliberate plan to stifle the settlements and cut the Israeli continuum"

Following the revelation by Israel Today that a senior civilian official has been abducted by the Palestinian Authority with sensitive information in his hand, the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee is expected to discuss tomorrow (Tuesday) the Palestinian Authority's takeover of Area C in Judea and Samaria.

In recent years, the Palestinian Authority has been operating a land settlement process over all of Judea and Samaria, including areas under Israeli civil responsibility, as part of its campaign to establish a Palestinian state.

The process of registering land ownership is funded and supported by the United Nations, the World Bank and European countries, with the aim of demonstrating Palestinian sovereignty over Area C, which is controlled by Israel. On the other hand, the Civil Administration has been ignoring Palestinian activity for years, arguing that the registration of ownership is not valid under the Oslo Accords.

As part of the problems of land management in Judea and Samaria by the Civil Administration, and as revealed in "Israel Today", Nidal Atari, a senior Palestinian worker in the Civil Administration, responsible for approving real estate transactions in Judea and Samaria, was abducted and arrested last October by Palestinian security forces. During his detention in Jericho, 30 confiscated real estate transactions he took from his job were confiscated at the time of his detention. About a year and a half ago about the same incident of detention that is being worked on by the Palestinians.

It is expected that in the next hearing, the matter of the detainee will also be discussed.

The discussion was initiated by the Israeli lobby in the Knesset, led by MK Yoav Kish together with MKs Kati Sheetrit (Likud), Meir Porush (Torah Judaism) and Yom Tov Kalfon (right), following a report and data revealed by the organization "Ad" Here".

Illegal construction of dozens of buildings

MK Yom Tov Kalfon said: "For more than a decade, a Palestinian takeover of Area C in Judea and Samaria has been taking place under the nose of the State of Israel.

The takeover is being carried out in blatant violation of the Oslo Accords and seriously harming the Israeli national interest in the heart of the Land of Israel.

PA, with the support of Turkey and the European Union, is leading this takeover, which includes the illegal construction of tens of thousands of buildings and the initiated activity of "land registration" of fake land. this".

MK Katie Sheetrit said ahead of the debate: "Recently we have witnessed a Palestinian move funded and assisted by the EU to take over Area C in Judea and Samaria. There is an organized and deliberate plan here to stifle the settlements and cut the Israeli continuum. "

Gilad But, the director general of the organization "Up to Here", who revealed the involvement of the Palestinian Preventive Security Service in the Civil Administration, responded:

It is amazing and unfortunate that the Civil Administration is abandoning its employees and allowing the Palestinian security forces to arrest and torture it, as well as the other Palestinians involved in the dozens of real estate transactions detailed in cases confiscated from it.

It is a matter of human life and inconceivable damage, and the time has come for someone to give the verdict for that. "
