Thirty years of ardent passion and a last letter, the 1,218th, written on September 22, 1995 by François Mitterrand to Anne Pingeot. It ends with these words. For the first time, Mazarine's mother has agreed to put in pictures her rich correspondence with the man who, since the summer of 1963, when she was 20, has filled her life (later she will entrust it to the BnF) . It was not easy to convince her, as confirmed by Hugues Nancy, author, with Pierre Favier, of this documentary. A model of the genre, who manages to tell one by one the stages of a clandestine love, keeping a modest look. A film that manages to rise to the height of the splendid blue writing that runs on the 22 blocks of François Mitterrand's diary in honor of his “Anne”. He records the moments of their happiness and shows,far from the Machiavellian image that history…
