Instead of clearing the way for the emergency services, the driver of a BMW filmed after an accident on Sunday on the A8 near Brunnthal and blocked the alley.

The police are looking for the gazer.

Brunnthal –

On Sunday at around 12.30 p.m., an accident involving four vehicles occurred on the A8 towards Salzburg shortly after the Hofoldinger Forst junction due to a sudden traffic jam.

A 40-year-old Belgian drove his Toyota in the fast lane.

According to the police, he realized too late that a 64-year-old from Munich had to stop his Porsche and drove into the rear almost unbraked.

The impact pushed the Porsche into the central barrier and then further onto the Audi of a 63-year-old from Stuttgart, who had also kept in the left lane.

The force of the impact threw the Toyota across all three lanes against a truck trailer.

After an accident on the A8: four people have to go to the hospital

The highway police estimate the total damage at 45,000 euros.

The occupants, each driver and passenger, in the Toyota and Porsche were slightly injured and brought to the hospital by ambulance.

Their vehicles were no longer drivable and had to be towed away.

A8 near Munich completely blocked after an accident - emergency doctor discovered Gaffer

The Brunnthal volunteer fire brigade and the Munich professional fire brigade were deployed to secure and clean up the scene of the accident.

The autobahn had to be completely closed for a short time, causing traffic to back up to the Munich South junction.

When driving down the rescue lane, the rescue workers had to discover something unpleasant again: the driver of a dark BMW blocked the lane and filmed the scene of the accident.

This was determined by an ambulance on the way to the site, reports the police.

Unfortunately, he did not have the opportunity to capture the license plate number of this vehicle.

The Holzkirchen motorway police, Tel. 08024/9073-0, is asking for relevant information about this dark BMW.

After the incident on the A8: the police warns – Gaffers face high fines

The police warns in this context: Anyone who does not form a rescue lane faces a fine of between 200 and 320 euros.

In any case, two points in Flensburg and a one-month driving ban will be added.

Anyone who confines themselves to observing or filming what is happening at the scene of the accident instead of helping injured people or securing the scene of the accident or forming an emergency lane is considered a so-called gazer.

"As happened in the case on the A8, they block the way for the rescue workers and in the worst case it can cost lives, but at least it violates the personal rights of the accident victims," warns the police.

Depending on the violation, fines of 20 to 1000 euros are due.

Anyone who takes photos and films of an accident is even liable to prosecution.

This can be sanctioned with a prison sentence of up to two years or a fine.
