Hartz and warm: Janine has doubts about vaccination – "a bit of a panic"

"Hartz and cordial" - Corona vaccination was on the agenda for many residents of the Benz barracks.

But Janine struggles with the decision to pick up the spades on the vaccination bus.

For several years, the social documentary "Hartz und cordial"* from the Benz barracks in Mannheim has been an integral part of the afternoon program on RTLZWEI*.

No other "Hartz und cordial" series has managed to inspire so many viewers.

This is of course due to the unique residents and the neighborly cohesion in the former workers' settlement. 

In the cult district, too, the thoughts of the residents revolve around Corona and the consequences in the new episode "Hartz and cordially - day by day - Benz barracks" (broadcast on January 18, 2022).

A so-called vaccination bus stopped in the social hot spot.

The offer from the city of Mannheim is well received by the barrackers: Dagmar, Elvis* and Carmen are not the only ones who have picked up their spades, as MANNHEIM24* reports.

Twin mom Janine is also positive about the vaccination offer.

But the final decision is anything but clear for social media awareness.

Almost 73 percent of the German population as a whole are now fully vaccinated, and almost 47 percent have received at least one vaccination dose. One of these lucky ones is Janine, who lives in the Benz barracks. "I got vaccinated. At first I panicked a bit," the young mother reveals in the 48th episode of the social documentary. At first she didn't plan to pick up the spades from the vaccination bus because she had serious concerns about the vaccination.

The twin mother really struggled with herself, but finally came to the decision: "I'll do it to be safe and then you can move around in peace again," Janine continues.

The resident of the "Yellow Block" plucked up heart and took the opportunity.

"If [the vaccination bus] is already here anyway - this is my chance, there are few appointments with the doctor anyway - then I'll do it there now too," reveals Jaylin and Jaydin's mother.

The vaccination went easily with the "Hartz and cordial" beauty*.

But after the vaccination, the 25-year-old got the full package of side effects: "It burned a bit when I was injected.

Then there was a bruise on my arm and then on the second day it was hell!

I could hardly move my arm.

That didn't work at all!

[...] What I also had was hot flashes and I was very tired," reveals the 25-year-old on the RTLZWEI show.

The mother of the lively twins Jaylin and Jaydin usually has her hands full: The single parent recently gave the children's rooms a new coat of paint and got into the stress of remodeling*.

In addition, the young barracks is preparing for the first exam* on the way to becoming a make-up artist.

The mother of two usually doesn't have time to rest.

But in the Benz barracks, neighborly help and support are considered good manners.

Grandma Beate took care of the children so that the single parent could recover.

"On the third day [after the vaccination] I first lay down and slept from 2 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. - and my mother had the children all day," reveals Janine in the 48th episode "Hartz und cordial" .

She only wanted to rest for a short time and, looking back, can hardly believe that she nodded off for "five hours".

However, Janine is now in top form again.

Hartz and sincerely: Janine would like to have a second injection - "Then I'm through and can..."

For Janine, the matter was not immediately crystal clear: she picked up the little spade with reservations.

The young mother does not seem to have made this decision easy for herself.

Looking back, the 25-year-old is generally happy that she decided to have the vaccination: "I really hope that it doesn't damage our body that badly.

But I'll do my second and that's it!

Then I'm done and can go anywhere I want," reveals the Internet awareness in the TV show.

Visibly happy to have gotten the spade over her, she holds her vaccination certificate up to the camera.
