Living giant spiders and insects, including the largest living tarantula in the world and a petting zoo with spiders and insects for young and old - that's what the "Insectophobie" exhibition on Sunday, January 30th in the Stadthalle Erding is all about.

Learn and experience the fascination of the unusual native inhabitants of our planet and immerse yourself in an educational animal world with the aim of teaching you basic knowledge about the world of insects, in order to gradually take away your fear and disgust of these animals.

Nobody knows exactly how many arachnids there are on earth.

The first spiders lived on Earth 300 million years ago.

The exhibitors present you with an instructive and educationally valuable exhibition with live animals from all continents to get an insight into the life and behavior of spider species, various scorpions, giant centipedes and rare insects such as praying mantises, walking leaves or stick insects in large format!

Exotic spiders and insects from all over the world are presented in specially designed habitats on an area of several hundred square meters.

The attractively furnished terrariums and a suitable soundscape create a special atmosphere.

This is intended to help more anxious people to approach the misjudged inmates and not see them as malicious creatures.

The detailed descriptions of habitats, habits and prey of each individual animal round off a visit to the exhibition to a small educational journey into the realm of arthropods.

If you have any questions (also about spider phobia, of course), the Insectophobie staff will of course be happy to help!

The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
