Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that his country is awaiting a response from Washington and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization "NATO" regarding security guarantees, indicating that this may take place in the coming days.
Lavrov said during a press conference in Moscow today with his Croatian counterpart: We expect to receive the specific responses that we promised to the draft documents delivered by Russia to the United States and NATO members, and there is reason to believe that some contacts on this issue will take place these days.
Last Friday, Lavrov confirmed that Russia is waiting from Western countries for a detailed written response to its proposals regarding security guarantees, because the Western partners had previously violated their verbal promises about ensuring security and not expanding NATO.
