(ANSA) - MESSINA, 17 JAN - Cateno De Luca, this morning with a letter addressed to the general secretary and the president of the City Council has resigned his resignation from the office of Mayor of the City of Messina.
"The reasons will be disclosed before no later than next February 6", the document reads.
De Luca signed the resignation note at the SanFrancesco roadstead, where his protest continues, to express his dissent against the law that provides for the obligation of the reinforced greenpass for crossing the Strait.
In the days, De Luca announced that he wanted to run for the presidency of the Sicilian Region.
