With regard to the accumulation of schoolwork, the Bavarian Minister of Education has appealed to all teachers to act with a sense of proportion.
"On the one hand, of course, you want performance surveys, on the other hand, we don't want to overwhelm the students in these times," said Michael Piazolo (Free Voters) on Monday after a cabinet meeting in Munich.
Munich – He was reacting to the practice in some schools of getting as many grades as possible as quickly as possible in order not to run out of time in the event of a pandemic-related lesson.
A week after school lessons began again in Bavaria, the Minister of Education spoke of an overall positive balance.
According to Piazolo, the start of school “went relatively smoothly”.
According to the ministry, the face-to-face teaching was positively welcomed by many participants.
"We have strengthened the safety net again after close consultation with the Ministry of Health," said Piazolo.
Accordingly, all students, including those who have been vaccinated, must have tested negative in order to be able to take part in school lessons.
In addition, the data from the so-called pool tests were also looked at.
According to the data, 3.2 percent of pool tests on the first day after the holiday were positive.
Piazolo emphasized that this was less than after the All Saints holidays (4.4 percent).

In addition, the quarantine rules have also been adjusted: Pupils can now take a free test after the fifth day.
Despite further quarantine cases, there is now a tendency to no longer send entire classes to quarantine.
"Other measures are only taken if several cases also appear in a class," said Piazolo.
Currently, well over 97 percent of all classes are in operation.
When it comes to air cleaners, more than 70 percent of classrooms in Bavaria are currently equipped with a mobile cleaning device from Bavaria.
The Free State spent a total of 87.5 million euros on the program, it said.
According to Piazolo, Bavaria currently has the most air purification devices compared to other federal states.
