The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Germany is trying to influence the internal political processes in the Russian Federation, on the eve of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Germany expected on Tuesday.

The statement added that the European Union regularly imposes sanctions against Russia with Berlin's approval and that Germany has consistently opposed the Russian Federation on a wide range of issues on the current international agenda.
German Foreign Minister Annalina Birbock is scheduled to arrive in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, later in the day, to head to Moscow on Tuesday to meet with her Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov. Birbock also plans to hold talks with Russian and Ukrainian officials to discuss ways to reduce the escalation on the border.
The relations between Russia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) have recently been tense due to the increase in the presence of the latter’s forces near the Russian borders under the pretext of protecting Ukraine from a “potential Russian threat”, which Moscow considers a violation of the basic document of relations between the two sides and confirms the incorrectness of Western fears that it is preparing for an invasion. In another context, the Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Moscow did not participate and does not intend to participate in arming the warring parties in Afghanistan.
And the ministry’s statement, which was published on its official website, stated that “Russia did not participate in one way or another and does not intend to participate in arming the Afghan warring parties,” explaining that “providing the parties to the conflict with weapons will not help in stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan, but on the contrary will lead to an increase in the tension of Afghan disputes.” the interior.”
