Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu today (Monday) addressed for the first time the mass mobilization campaign launched for him, and thanked the citizens who supported him.
"Thank you, masses of Israeli citizens, for your tremendous support and wonderful love in recent days," he wrote.
"Your warmth of heart moved me and my family with an unparalleled excitement."
Yesterday, Netanyahu's supporters, led by media man Yinon Magal, launched a mass mobilization project entitled "Netanyahu will never march alone," in support of fundraising for the continuation of Netanyahu's trial and against the emerging plea deal.
So far, in less than 24 hours, about NIS 2.5 million has been raised, with the final goal being NIS 5 million.
It should be noted that according to the prevailing assessment in the Knesset, Netanyahu will not be able to use these donations because they are contrary to the Knesset's Code of Ethics.
