The opposition leader first responded to contacts with the prosecution, and in the background of the mass mobilization initiated by his supporters led by media man Yinon Magal • "Your warmth moved me and my family" • Magal: "If there are legal problems we will return the money to the public"

Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu responded today (Monday) for the first time to contacts for a plea deal.

In a post he posted on his Facebook account, Netanyahu wrote that he thanked "the masses of Israeli citizens for their tremendous support and wonderful love in recent days."

Netanyahu added: "Your warmth of heart moved me and my family with an unparalleled excitement."

As you may recall, yesterday, Netanyahu's supporters, led by media man Yinon Magal, launched a mass mobilization project entitled "Netanyahu will never walk alone," in support of fundraising for the continuation of his trial and against the emerging plea deal.

So far, about NIS 2.5 million has been raised, with a target of NIS 5 million.

Magal himself told Yishai Shenrav at the High Court this morning that "if there are legal problems with the fundraising for Netanyahu, we will return the money to the public.

Or we will buy gifts for the Netanyahu family. "

When asked if there is a financial consideration in Netanyahu's deliberations, Magal replied that "I did not talk to him but I am sure it is a consideration. It could reach tens of millions."

Were we wrong?
