New commander, new board and a new statute: the Hohenkammer fire brigade has completely reorganized itself.

And there is good news for children who want to join the fire service.

Hohenkammer

– The Hohenkammer fire brigade has quietly mastered a large program.

At the annual general meeting, the commander changed, the board was re-elected and the articles of association were also amended.

After twelve years it's over.

Friedrich Luginger has given up his position as commander of the fire brigade and is now "a completely normal" engineer again.

At the commander's election, which takes place every six years, Luginger handed over the leadership of the active squad to Ulrich Moosheimer.

There was also a change of generations within the family, because Johannes Luginger, the son of the previous commander, took over the position of second commander from Jürgen Törner.

This change in leadership was carried out without any problems in the written election.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.

The position of the team spokesman, which was divided into two by means of a change in the statutes, is important for the active team.

The fire brigade created the opportunity to elect two spokespersons for the active members and that was also carried out.

Alexander Eichner and Ferdinand Maier represent the active team as spokespersons.

Until now, Friedrich Luginger has been the big man and the face of the fire service.

On the active side he was 2nd Commander for four years and 1st Commander for twelve years.

He also served as chairman of the fire department.

Now Luginger can take more time for his family again.

At the fire brigade association, the previous deputy Michaela Schröder moved up and was elected 1st chairwoman.

The second chairman, Kilian Wirth, is new in office.

The board is completed by secretary Ingrid Schiffelholz and treasurer Christina Stöger.

At the fire brigade association, another part of the changes to the statutes took effect this time.

The office of assessor was newly introduced, for which Florian Aust, Stefan Landes, Florian Schiffelholz and Thomas Stöger were elected.

In the future, the work of the association should be spread over different shoulders.

Here, solutions from other fire brigades were looked at and the assessors introduced, after helpers had previously been named by the board of directors.

The amendment to the articles of association has also set the course for the future in another respect.

The fire brigade is now allowed to take children from the age of six.

This opens up new opportunities for youth work.

Awards were also presented at the meeting.

The resigned commanders Friedrich Luginger and Jürgen Törner received the silver medal of honor from the district fire brigade association.

For long-term membership, Johann Rauch (60 years old), Jakob Hanrieder sen.

(50 years), Nikolaus Sailer, Lorenz Kiener (both 40 years) and Gregor Wiesinger (30 years).

In view of the difficult Corona situation at the moment, they limited themselves to the bare essentials - and that was the last report from commander Friedrich Luginger, for whom it was still important to thank his wife: "She always had my back free, so that I could take the time for the fire brigade.” Luginger showed that in the two pandemic years 2020 (1652 hours worked) and 2021 (3891 hours) there were fewer hours together than with the 7431 hours in the last normal year 2019. That was among other things because exercises and training had to be significantly reduced during the lockdown phases. However, the number of operations in the event of fires (2019: 481, 2020: 188, 2021: 148) or technical assistance (2019: 730, 2020: 183, 2021: 390) also fell massively in the Corona years.Only the number of false alarms has increased (2019: 10, 2020: 30, 2021: 41), which is always a major annoyance for the fire department's volunteers because they have to waste valuable time without need.
