We would have loved to save the vaccine pass.
But politics is not theoretical speculation.
Governments must act by taking the least harmful decisions and this pass is a necessary evil.
All the data converge to show that messenger RNA vaccines greatly reduce the probability of developing serious forms of Covid-19.
However, the current health problem consists in not overcrowding hospitals that are already there.
It is therefore logical
that France's health policy relies primarily on a powerful incentive mechanism that is supposed to lead the French to get fully vaccinated.
Most liberal democracies
more or less pursue the same kind of policy on this issue.
Vaccination pass or obligation: these are two different tools for the same objective
of preserving our health infrastructures.
