Pedestrians (61) hit by a car: serious head injuries

In Sauerlach, a 61-year-old was hit by a car on Friday and seriously injured.

– According to the police, the 61-year-old wanted to cross Hofoldinger Straße from Zugspitzstraße around 6 p.m.
But instead of using the nearby pedestrian traffic lights or the central island for pedestrian crossings, the Sauerlacher simply ran across the street and directly in front of the seat of a 63-year-old from Holzkirchen.
The driver was unable to brake and caught the man.
61-year-old hits his head on the windshield
The pedestrian was hit with the left front of the vehicle, thrown onto the hood and hit his head in the windshield.
As a result of the collision, the 61-year-old was then thrown in the direction of the oncoming lane and crashed into the left side of the vehicle of a 42-year-old from Züssow, who had to wait there with his Skoda due to traffic.
The Sauerlacher suffered a serious head injury and was taken to a nearby hospital by the ambulance service. The two drivers were uninjured.
Total damage to their vehicles was around 3150 euros.
