American pharmaceutical giant Pfizer CEO Albert Burla warned in an interview that the corona virus is likely to remain in the world for many years to come, but noted that in his estimation "with the tools created by science, the current wave will be the last with so many restrictions".
In an interview with the French television channel BFMTV, Burla claimed that in order to be fully vaccinated one should get three shots, "and then a vaccine every year for those with a weak immune system".

In addition, he explained that Pfizer is currently conducting research in order to understand the effects of the fourth vaccine, a vaccine that is currently given in Israel to the population over the age of 60 and to those defined as at medical risk.
"We do not yet have the test results, but we will receive them in March," he said.
Burla noted at the same time that they are working on a new vaccine, without elaborating further but it is likely that this is an injection designed to fight the various mutations of the corona virus, including the current variant in the form of the omicron.
Finally, he also addressed the children's vaccines, a sensitive issue that is causing a great deal of controversy around the world.
"I think children need to be vaccinated to protect them. True, there are parents in France (where the interview was conducted) and in the world who oppose it, but the effectiveness of the vaccine in children is really good," he said, describing Pfizer's vaccine as "both effective and safe."
