The Russian Military Industrial Corporation announced today the readiness of its new armored vehicle (VPK Ural) to enter the military service in the ranks of the country's National Guard.
Sputnik news agency quoted the company as saying that "the vehicle with high capabilities has been successfully tested, as it can travel at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour and confront the explosion of an explosive device weighing 6 kilograms without harming its passengers."
The company pointed out the possibility of strengthening the armored vehicle by placing additional armor on its body, stressing that it can accommodate 12 passengers and can be supplied with enough fuel for 1,000 kilometers.
