The 79-year-old senior was brought back unharmed to the Garhöll retirement home in Murnau by ambulance.

Murnau - On January 16, around midnight, the Murnau Police Inspectorate was informed that a 79-year-old resident had left the Garhöll retirement home since 10 p.m.

Since the man is severely demented and disoriented, comprehensive search measures were taken.

The search was carried out with 70 members of the Murnau fire brigade, 23 members of the BRK, 10 members of the mountain rescue service, 9 members of the water rescue service, 14 members of the police force and a helicopter.

During the ongoing search, a message from the Hochried Clinic was received at around 3:30 a.m. that a confused man had been found in the house.

After the clarification, it turned out that it is the missing person.

He was brought back to his retirement home unharmed in an ambulance.
