Searching for a dream man on TV: Andechserin on “Take me out”

Get to know 24 men for four days - in search of true love, Sharon Bernhart from Andechs took part in the RTL dating show "Take me out".

She didn't find the right person, but she did find friends for life.

Andechs – Finding the partner for life on a TV show? Sharon Bernhart tried it after "unfortunately the right person wasn't there yet" in her previous relationships. The 37-year-old grew up in the municipality of Andechs and still lives there. After their last partnership, they decided to take part in the dating show "Take me out". “I love the RTL format. It's not a typical trash show, down-to-earth women also take part," says Sharon Bernhart in an interview with Starnberger Merkur. "That gives hope. When my relationship at the time was over, I applied right away in March.” In the format, 30 singles face potential dream partners who try to convince the women of themselves.

Shortly thereafter, the 37-year-old and her sister-in-law shot an eight-minute introductory video and sent it to the production company.

"I briefly explained who I am, what I like to do and why I want to be part of it.

Apparently that must not have been so bad, because in May the call came that I had made it," says Sharon Bernhart, who was in shock at first.

"I wasn't expecting that at all."

In August we went to the studios in Cologne for four days. “In the beginning I was very excited. But once the cameras came on, the tension eased immediately. I could be who I am. Nothing was set or specified by the production.” As a former dancer and trainer at the Pöckinger Faschingsclub (PFC), she performed in front of an audience for years. "But television is a different story when you think about how many people watch it later."

A total of eight programs were shot in the short time. "That was extreme dating, because three men introduced themselves per show." Sharon Bernhart met 24 potential partners, but the man for life wasn't there. “I liked one or the other,” she says. "But it wasn't great love." Nevertheless, she rates the time on "Take me out" as one of the most beautiful of her life. “It was the best decision to sign up for the format. I experienced a lot of great things and made friends.” The 37-year-old is still in contact with a few of the women today. "We have a Whatsapp group together, a friend from Berlin came to visit at the weekend."

From February, the exact date has not yet been determined, RTL will broadcast the episodes with Sharon Bernhart.

"I'm a bit excited," says the 37-year-old, who works for a cosmetics company.

However, her colleagues took away her nervousness with a nice gesture.

“They sent an e-mail to the entire back office.

We want to watch the programs together.” lf
