Layers of snow this morning covered the streets of As-Suwayda city and the high mountainous areas of the governorate due to the freezing that occurred over the rain and snow falling yesterday.

Head of the Readiness Department in As-Suwayda Governorate, Hussein Safi, said in a statement to a reporter that the snow has weakened traffic in the morning hours, with great caution in moving, indicating that the mechanisms of the service departments in charge of opening roads are spraying salt in some locations.

For his part, the head of the Suwayda Traffic Branch, Brigadier General Jamal Al-Saeed, explained in a similar statement that due to the weather conditions, all roads in the governorate are passable except for the Suwayda road, Dahr al-Jabal, and the roads leading to the Al-Mashnaf district are impassable due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation. due to ice formation.

Al-Saeed pointed out that the icebreaker started from the early morning spraying salt on the main roads inside the city of As-Suwayda, especially on the axial, hospital, canal and downtown roads.

Al-Saeed called on citizens and road users to exercise caution and ensure the technical condition of cars before driving on the roads, especially brake lights, lights and windshield wipers, and the need to drive at low speeds, especially in slopes and turns, for fear of snow in order to avoid slipping and accidents, for the sake of their safety.
